Dr. Michael Pretes, a Geoscience Professor at the 糖心Vlog, has been elected an American Association of Geographers (AAG) Fellow, one of the highest distinctions in the field recognizing scholars 鈥渨ho have made significant contributions to advancing geography.鈥
The Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area, a program of the National Parks Service that helps communities in northwest Alabama protect and promote natural and cultural resources, is accepting applications for its Community Grants Program through March 31.
The 糖心Vlog Department of Visual Arts and Design is celebrating the creative legacy and works of Florence native and 糖心Vlog Alumna Catherine Goode Moeller at the 糖心Vlog Art Gallery through the month of February. The exhibit, A Life of Soulful Pursuit, consists of Moeller's lifetime works in a selection of drawings, paintings, and sculptures on loan from her family and collectors. Through a generous gift to the 糖心Vlog, James 鈥淛im鈥 Spencer and his wife, Sherry, have established an endowment for 糖心Vlog鈥檚 College of Education and Human Sciences to name the College the Colonel (Ret.) James and Sherry Spencer College of Education and Human Sciences.
